A new Director has been appointed from within the ranks of the management team at Champion Accountants in Preston.
KEITH PORTER, former Audit and Accounts Manager at Champion’s Southport office, has been promoted to Director and relocated to Champion’s Preston office.
Originally from Burscough, Keith moved to Southport and began part time study to gain his professional accountancy qualifications. He held positions with Jones Harris in Southport and Abrams Ashton in Chorley, before returning nine years later to the former Jones Harris, which had merged with Champion in 2003.
Now with over 20 year’s experience, Keith has been mainly involved in audit work for clients and is responsible for a varied portfolio of businesses, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited companies.
His appointment is the fourth internal Director appointment to take place in the past five years and reflects Champion’s ongoing strategy for growth.
Keith comments, “I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Champion’s Southport team but the opportunity at Preston was too good to miss. I am looking forward to contributing to the growth of Champion Preston’s office and strengthening its presence in Preston and the surrounding areas.
