As a business owner, your time is split between countless priorities. But have you considered how secure your premises truly are? From safeguarding your commercial property to protecting your home, effective security isn’t just about deterrence – it’s about peace of mind.
At Crime Prevention Services (CPS), we’ve been at the forefront of security innovation since 1982. While competitors have come and gone, our commitment to tailored solutions, advanced technology, and client-focused service has ensured our place as a trusted partner for businesses and homeowners alike.
Why security needs to work around the clock
The value of security lies in its ability to prevent issues before they arise – and to respond swiftly when they do. Many providers install systems and outsource monitoring to third-party call centres, where delays, scripts, or lack of expertise can lead to frustrating and even dangerous outcomes.
At CPS, we’ve eliminated this disconnect. Our NSI Gold-accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), located at our head office, ensures you’ll always receive direct, immediate support from highly trained operators. This in-house model enables us to address issues as they happen, offering seamless protection for both your business and personal properties.
With a UK-wide presence, we also guarantee same-day or next-day engineer support, ensuring no client is left waiting in critical situations.
The key to preventative security
Security is about more than reacting to alarms. Prevention and vigilance are central to our approach.
At CPS, you’re not just another case number in a generic call centre queue. Instead, your alert is handled personally by a trained CPS employee in our in-house control room – someone who understands the importance of your security.
Many of the alerts we receive are critical, from life-saving emergencies to live-monitored CCTV. Our personalised approach ensures you feel genuinely protected 24/7, with secondary measures like regular camera checks and property tours should one of your cameras trigger an alarm through to us, stepping in to maintain seamless coverage and safeguard your assets.
Our comprehensive service includes:
- CCTV and remotely monitored CCTV
- Intruder alarms
- Fire alarms and extinguishers
- Access control systems
- Security barriers
- Service, maintenance, and monitoring
Whether you’re a nationwide retail chain protecting stock or a homeowner securing your family, our tailored solutions ensure your specific needs are met.
Why CPS stands apart
Recently, our expertise was recognised with a significant appointment to monitor over 80 petrol sites – a move that has expanded our offering to include monitoring as a stand-alone service. This milestone underscores the adaptability of our solutions and our ability to scale security strategies for businesses of all sizes.
But what truly sets us apart is our people. With a dedicated team of 84 professionals, we take pride in our strong relationships with clients. Many have stayed with us for decades, even transferring our services to new properties as they grow.
Supporting you, supporting communities
At CPS, we believe in building trust not only with clients but within the communities we serve. By hiring locally and offering extensive training opportunities, we ensure our team delivers exceptional service while fostering strong community connections.
Our commitment goes far beyond business – it’s about making a meaningful difference. Raising money for charity is a huge part of what we do at CPS. We’re always taking on initiatives to support worthy causes, and one of the efforts we’re most proud of is maintaining our blood bike. Soon, we’ll have our third bike commence service, lovingly named after my late daughter, Chloe.
This blood bike plays a vital role in our community, covering the entire North Wales border and even transporting essential supplies, like baby milk, as far as Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Working in relays with other blood bikes, it forms part of a nationwide network that delivers life-saving support.
Through initiatives like these and partnerships such as We Mind the Gap – where we provide young women with work experience to help them gain confidence and essential skills – we strive to build a legacy that’s about more than security. It’s about creating opportunity, supporting growth, and giving back to the communities we serve.
A legacy of trust
As Managing Director, I am deeply committed to fulfilling our promises to both our customers and staff. When my late husband Geoff founded CPS, he laid the groundwork for a company built on trust and excellence. Following his passing in 2006, I stepped into the role without prior experience but with unwavering determination to honour his legacy and make the business thrive.
Today, my son Brad serves as a director, having worked his way through roles from engineer to sales and business development. Together, we lead a company known for its exceptional staff retention.
As a family-run business, CPS remains dedicated to providing security solutions clients can rely on. Our commitment to quality, reliability, and personalisation has made us a trusted partner to businesses of all sizes, including some of the UK’s most respected corporations.
As a business owner, your assets – and your peace of mind – deserve the best. Whether it’s protecting your premises, supporting employee and public safety, or securing your home, we’re here to help.
