Going the extra mile by delivering added value is part of our DNA at Champion Accountants, and by drawing on our range of complementary services and expertise across the Group ensures that we can support our clients in achieving their goals and creating wealth.

One particular long-standing client recently turned to us for advice after needing additional resource in order to support its transition onto a new internal finance system. With its current team not having the capacity to accommodate such a project within their current workloads and having no need to employ another member of staff post-delivery, we offered to supply a qualified and experienced member of our team on secondment.

For six weeks, Manchester management accountant, Craig Massey, worked full time on this particular client’s site, reporting into the Financial Director and delivering the skilled resource it needed in successfully migrating the business and its operations onto a new system that would support the team in unlocking its future growth potential and realise their ambitions.

Secondments are becoming increasingly popular in business as employers recognise the opportunities to meet immediate needs and fill interim vacancies, without having to hire a new staff member. Taking on a professional, qualified individual on short or long term secondment can also boost staff morale and motivation by providing additional resource and support.

We have a number of staff who have worked on secondment for our clients, helping to deliver an intensive project, fill a skills gap or resource a particularly busy period of activity, with this added value offer providing an answer to more agile recruitment.
