The Champion audit process
1. Audit Planning
Following an in depth discussion with you about your business, we will create a detailed Audit Planning Memorandum (APM). Setting out our proposed approach step-by-step, the APM highlights any risks and how we plan to address them. It also summarises your pertinent financial and auditing news and sector requirements. The APM is shared with senior management and the board, giving the opportunity to input and comment before we begin.
2. Audit Methodology
We operate a bespoke, risk-based audit approach. Our analysis provides assurance that reported results make sense, and detailed testing ensures that individual account balances are not materially misstated. We identify, evaluate and test key systems and controls, giving a complete understanding and meaningful review of your business processes.
3. Audit Completion
Our written Audit Summary Memorandum (ASM) summarises our audit findings in relation to the statutory accounts and audit, and provides best practise observations and recommendations concerning risk management, control and governance processes as well as our management letter points. This document is presented to senior management and shared with the board to discuss our audit findings and conclusions.
