Champion Accountants has advised on the sale of face etc… following a deal with founder Sharon Moore for an undisclosed sum.

The award-winning advanced aesthetics and beauty clinic in York that employs 24 staff has exchanged hands to husband and wife, Nick Rhodes, a resident plastic surgeon and medical director and Orla Rhodes, business development manager and director.

Established in 2001, face etc… has grown from a mobile operation to a leading city centre aesthetics clinic with more than 20 accolades under its belt including Best Clinic in the UK at the Aesthetics Awards.

Sharon said: “I’ve had a brilliant 15 years, starting the business quite literally out of a suitcase and driving it forward to where it is today. face etc… was the first of its kind in York and I wanted new owners that held similar values and would build on the foundations, which is exactly what Nick and Orla bring.”

Ged Cosgrove, group managing partner at Champion Accountants and lead advisor on the deal, added: “It’s been a pleasure to work with all parties and reach a positive exit for Sharon. The clinic is well established in the region and has an excellent reputation, and it will continue to grow and evolve.”

Sharon concluded: “It’s wasn’t just Ged’s experience and track record that made him the right choice, but that he genuinely cared about me and the business. He explained everything in detail, gave a balanced view and made me feel confident, to which I knew I was in very safe hands.”
