Champion Accountants has taken on two new junior members of staff, showing its commitment to the continued growth and development of talent, as it also continues its search for this year’s intake of trainees.
Hafiza Patel has taken the position of audits and accounts trainee at Champion’s Preston practice, whilst Lauren Brown joins its Manchester headquarters as accounts trainee.
Commenting on her new role, Hafiza said: “I’m looking forward to putting my knowledge to good use for our clients. I chose Champion because its values align so well with my own; they place a lot of importance on respect for others. The team is incredibly friendly and has been very supportive in my first few weeks.”
Meanwhile, Lauren is looking to follow in her older sister’s footsteps in the industry.
She said: “My sister joined Champion in a similar role, and I’ve seen how much she enjoys working here. She’s been so successful with the company and in this field, so I’m hoping I can do the same. I know the staff are well looked after, and the company feels like one big family. I’ve felt really welcome and I’m excited to get stuck in.”
Champion Accountants has a long history of developing young talent, guiding trainees through further studies and qualifications alongside their day-to-day roles.
Applications are now open for a new intake of trainees to start this August, when several entry-level candidates across its network of North West offices will start a fulfilling and rewarding career and embark on a path to becoming a fully qualified accountant and trusted advisors to some of the UK’s most exciting businesses.
Ged Cosgrove, group managing partner at Champion Accountants, said: “We truly invest in our trainees, with many of our senior colleagues beginning their careers as Champion trainees and going on to achieve incredible things. We’ve worked hard to create an accountancy trainee programme designed to help individuals flourish professionally and personally, with a consistent support network that empowers them to achieve their ambitions.
“We’d encourage anyone who is interested in earning while they learn, avoiding university tuition fees, gaining top level qualifications and learning from a dedicated team of true experts, to apply.
“Our latest trainees, Hafiza and Lauren, share the same enthusiasm, knowledge, and aptitude, and I’m looking forward to aiding their professional development and seeing where their careers take them.”
