North-West based business advisory group, Champion Accountants, has secured a new client at their Chester accountancy practice, thanks to a referral from a current client.

The Manchester-headquartered accountancy group, which in addition to Chester, also has offices in Preston and Blackpool, is providing accountancy services, corporation tax support and assistance with R&D tax relief claims to Wrexham based business, Healthcare Matters.

The family-run business provides innovative solutions, quality products and outstanding services within the healthcare industry. They offer a range of services, including a healthcare equipment rental service, product maintenance, repairs and support services.  Alongside this they provide domiciliary care through a separate company trading as Homecare Matters.

Phil Spiby, managing director at Healthcare Matters comments: “Champion Accountants were referred to us by our solicitor who currently uses their services. Our previous accountants didn’t give us the level of service we required and we wanted a company that would give us that personal touch.’’

Champion is also advising the company on setting up a new business for a mattress system they’ve developed which shows significant benefits by reducing administration and nursing time, cutting energy and repair costs and improving pressure care performance.

Sue Harris, director at Champion Accountants, says: “We have years of experience of working with the care sector and are delighted to have the opportunity to work with an organisation like Healthcare Matters who provide such valuable and innovative services to the industry

Phil continued: ‘’Champion have a keen desire to help us move the business forward and their proactive approach will provide us with a perfect partner for the future.”
