A practice administrator is celebrating a career spanning three and half decades with Champion Accountants.

Jackie Tebble, 52, from Mickle Trafford, joined Champion’s Watergate Row office, formerly Jones & Hack, in 1979 as a shorthand typist.

Prior to this, the former Stanney Comprehensive student spent 12 months at Newton Secretarial College.

As practice administrator, Jackie is the first point of contact for clients, which means upholding constant professionalism to deliver excellent customer service. Other duties include project management, staff supervision and event planning.

Jackie said: “My role has definitely evolved with the advancement of technology, from the manual typewriter of the 70s to today’s ever-changing digital workplace.

“It’s great to see us supporting some of the same clients from when I first joined. Champion truly value their customers and I’m honoured to have seen the group grow and develop into what it is today.”

Mike Jackson, director at Champion Accountants, added: “Jackie is a wonderfully talented member of the team and boasts a wealth of knowledge in general practice management. I would like to thank her for all her dedication and hard work of the past 35 years.

“Champion is a culture-driven company and a major reason for such staff loyalty and retention is the wealth of opportunities for career progression. We invest a lot in our employees, with many working their way up to management positions.”
