Champion has joined forces with one of Blackpool’s oldest accountancy practices.

Boniface & Co. merged with Champion on Friday 1st November. The firm was established by Michael Boniface in 1978, with his brother Andrew joining the firm as Partner, in 2001.

The merger sees two of Blackpool’s oldest accountancy practices come together, due to a previous merger between Champion and Haworth Moore back in 2007, which had been operating in the town since the 1900’s.

As part of the move we welcome Michael and Andrew Boniface as Client Partners, who bring a combined total of 85 years’ accountancy experience and local knowledge to the firm. We also welcome Judie Hamilton to the team as Administrator.

Originally located on Caunce Street, Boniface & Co. were neighbours of Champion for 35 years, residing next door but one to our former office. They have now moved to join Champion in our new home on Whitehills Business Park.

Speaking on the merger, Champion Client Partner Michael Boniface commented: ” We are thrilled to join a company which has such long-standing roots in Blackpool. Joining forces with Champion will bring numerous benefits to our clients, including an expanded service profile and a wider base of specialist knowledge to draw from.”

David Hardy, Director at Champion’s Blackpool office commented, “We are delighted to welcome Boniface & Co. to Champion. A strong synergy between the two firms was always evident, not just in terms of our shared history in Blackpool, but also with regards to our approach to client service. Our shared ethos is to help businesses in and around Blackpool to grow, improving the local economy and supporting businesses in any way possible.”
