Champion is pleased to announce that Kirkham based Flandria Bikes is sponsoring the Champion Century Cycle Challenge, our 100 mile charity bike ride, taking place at 8.00am this Sunday 19th June.

Flandria are lending their offices as a finishing point for the ride, which starts at Warrington Road in Chester and visits the Champion offices in Manchester and Preston before ending at Amy Johnson Way in Blackpool.

Matt Longworth, Director of Flandria Bikes comments: “When we heard about what Champion were attempting, we knew immediately we wanted to be involved, particularly as the event has a strong charity element. At Flandria we not only organise our own rides but also have our own cycle team, so it goes without saying that we will be taking up the challenge too!”

Ged Cosgrove, Group Managing Partner at Champion comments: “We are delighted to have Flandria on board with the Champion Century Cycle Challenge. This is the first event we have staged of this kind and not only has their input has been invaluable, they have also kindly donated a large sum towards our ’40 for 40’ fundraising effort.”

The Champion Century Cycle Challenge will be raising money towards Champion’s “40 for 40 Fundraiser”, a year-long fundraising effort to celebrate Champion’s 40th birthday, where team members will attempt to raise £40,000 for a selection of nominated charities.
