As we move towards a future of digital accountancy, Champion is committed to ensuring all of the members of our team are fully equipped with the knowledge and know-how to support our clients through these changes, while continuing to deliver excellent levels of service.

With this in mind, we recently supported a cohort of team members from our Chester and Preston offices through the Sage Business Cloud certification. Danielle Campbell, Spencer Youd, Adam Yardley and Chantel Goodwin from Chester, together with Russell Spencer and Shaun Derbyshire from Preston, completed the course, which includes modules on company set up, efficient transaction posting and reporting procedures, and effective migration from other accounting softwares.

It means more members of our team now have the expert knowledge to support clients who are already using Sage, or who might wish to do so as they transition towards a digital future.

The team members join Heather Stockton, audit manager at our Chester office, in holding this acclaimed certification. As our very own accredited Sage ‘Expert’, Heather has been using her skills and status to provide clients with additional knowledge around security, reporting, scalability and error-free financial computing – things our clients rely on us for expert consultancy.

Heather said: “To have so many of our team hold this respected qualification provides extra reassurance to our clients that we have the skills and expertise to help them transition towards digital taxation, and all the other online capabilities Sage offers when it comes to accounting.

“These six members have demonstrated a commitment to extending their skillset so they can help our clients achieve great things, and for that, we couldn’t be prouder of them.”

Businesses who need extra advice on how to use Sage, or who are considering using it in the near future, can contact our Chester or Preston teams today.
